Self Care for Caregivers 

Caring for a child, especially a child with higher needs, is always difficult. It makes it easy to forget to take care of yourself! But spending even a little time caring for yourself can help both you and your child. 

Knowing the types of self care and how you feel can help you choose what to do. 

Are you feeling.... Overwhelmed by worries and anxiety? Depressed or grieving?

It might be time for some emotional self care! 

Are you feeling.... bored and slow? Disengaged with the world?

It might be time for some mental self care! 

Are you feeling.... discouraged and stressed? Frustrated? 

It might be time for some spiritual self care! 

Are you feeling.... Sluggish or sleepy? Weak or low energy? 

It might be time for some physical self care! 

Are you feeling.... Isolated and alone? Like no one understands you?
